Most of the hotels in Porto-Vecchio are located in the Old Town, with some more expensive options down by the marina. There is also plenty of accommodation outside of Porto-Vecchio, along the nearby coastal areas.
It is usually only difficult to find Porto-Vecchio hotels with availability during the peak season (when prices can be nearly as high as its famous neighbour Bonifacio on the southern tip of Corsica).
Hotels In the Town
Hotel Le Goeland
A pleasant hotel, with an easy walk into Porto-Vecchio harbour. Situated on a busy road (although the noise from the road is not excessive), it has beautiful views over the Porto-Vecchio Gulf at the rear. Le Goeland has its own private beach and well maintained, attractive gardens. The rooms have been renovated in 2008. Food is good but expensive. During summer months only half board is available.
Les Roches Blanches
A small hotel across the street from Porto-Vecchio's commercial harbour. Well decorated, with good service and cleanliness. It has a small, clean pool.
Hotel Mistral
Centrally located above the Old Town, yet slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the centre, this is a fairly basic but comfortable, clean hotel. Rooms are air conditioned and there is free parking.
Hotel Panorama
Good location just above the Old Town, with nice views over the gulf from some of the rooms. This concrete 'pension' hotel is very basic. The cheapest rooms have shared bathrooms. Free parking.
Hotel Holzer
Very central location. The basic rooms are small and have no air conditioning. There is (paying) car park, however this is small and can get very crowded.
Hotels Around Porto-Vecchio
Casa Del Mar
A great place to unwind and truly indulge, in a stylish hotel with impressive interior design. All rooms overlook the beautiful bay of Porto-Vecchio (some are quite small), and there is a heated infinity pool. The food is expensive but worth the price. A beach-side grill restaurant and pool bar open in the summer. Spa facilities. Only 5 minutes by car to the centre of Porto-Vecchio. Even has its own helipad.
San Giovanni
A lovely, family friendly hotel, on the south west outskirts of Porto-Vecchio. A ten minutes' drive (2 km) from Porto-Vecchio town centre. The hotel is set in 1.25 hectares of beautiful landscaped gardens and has great facilities - a good sized pool, jacuzzi, sauna, tennis and complimentary mountain bike hire. The rooms in the main hotel are simple but adequate, and chalet style bungalows are also available. Great food and friendly staff. Good value for money.
Hotel Belvedere
An oasis of calm set across the bay from Porto-Vecchio Old Town. The hotel consists of fairly small, simply renovated semi-detached bungalows set amongst the hotel grounds. The panoramic pool, bar and restaurant are fantastic, with excellent cuisine. Dining is on a terrace right by the water's edge, and at night the twinkling lights of Porto-Vecchio Old Town are mesmerizing. There is a private beach.
E Casette
Chalet style rooms set on a steep wooded hillside, 5 minutes drive from Porto-Vecchio in a tranquil location. The rooms are ultra modern and clean, and the pool has wonderful views over the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. The gardens can however be overgrown at times, and sea views are limited from some of the villas.
Moby Dick Hotel (Santa Guila)
A popular hotel in the stunning Santa Guilia Bay, with fantastic views over exceptionally turquoise sea. It has its own small private beach, and all the leisure facilities of Santa Guilia beach right on its doorstep. Not all rooms have sea views, as some overlook the lagoon nature reserve behind the hotel. Bedrooms are decorated in attractive, natural shades. The bar and restaurant are quite expensive but the food is of a high quality. Drinks can be taken from the bar onto the beach.
Grand Hotel de Cala Rossa (Cala Rossa)
A luxurious hotel in Cala Rossa bay, 6 km north of Porto-Vecchio. Set in extensive gardens, it has its own private sandy beach at one end of Cala Rossa beach, and a superb bar with a terrace overlooking the sea. Most of the rooms have garden rather than sea views. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout. High quality cuisine is served in the restaurant. A spa (payable) and fitness facilities are available and there is an indoor pool (no outdoor pool). A lovely peaceful and calming setting.
