Pinarello beach is a picturesque long stretch of white sand, with pine trees right up to the beach.
Located in the attractive seaside hamlet of Pinarellu (Pinareddu), with a pretty little port and plenty of opportunities for refreshments and water sports, this is a popular family-friendly beach destination.
Beach Description
Situated in the gulf of Pinarellu, Pinarello beach is one of the many beautiful beaches to the north of Porto-Vecchio. The sea is azure blue, and the 1.2 km long, narrow sweeping beach has soft white sand, is backed by dramatic mountains and overlooked by a Genoese watchtower. The sea is warm and shallow, so safe for young children to swim in.
Windsurfing, catamarans, boat hire and boat trips are all available in Pinarellu bay and marina.
There are two main sections of beach - the smallest, closest to Pinarellu hamlet, is the busiest. It is worth while strolling along the boardwalk and through the pines to access the quieter, more peaceful areas of the beach.

Pinarello beach is certainly idyllic however its beauty can sometimes be slightly marred by the large amounts of sea grass that can wash up all along the vast expanse of beach.
To the far (southern) end of the Golfe de Pinarellu, nestled among the pine forest and lagoons, is a good quality campsite (Camping le California), which has access to an exclusive secluded cove (shared with a nearby nudist camp).

Directions
Pinarello beach is a 20-minute drive north of Porto-Vecchio.
Take the main N198 road north towards Bastia then turn right onto the D168 to Pinarello. This turning is at a crossroads in the centre of a small village, Sainte Lucie. Keep an eye out for the sign at the crossroads, as it is not particularly clear - signposted for "Les Plages" (beaches) and "Pinareddu" ( the Corsican name for Pinarello/Pinarellu ), amongst numerous other options listed on the sign.
The D168 road to Pinarello beach passes an open-air summer movie theatre.
